 Harvard Health Publications says that there are many causes of snoring: medications, obesity, smoking, and alcohol can result in snoring. In order to relieve snoring you could stop booze and sleep on your side.

3. Acid reflux.

To prevent acid reflux from stomach to the esophagus, Cleveland Clinic recommended that you can raise your head and try to sleep on the left side and either you can pile up e few pillows or use a wedge-shaped pillow.
