Classic Potato Salad


Five medium-sized potatoes

the salt

cup of mayonnaise

small red onion, chopped

1 tablespoon of mustard

1 tablespoon of lemon juice

Quarter cup of pickles

Half a teaspoon of red pepper

Four eggs

ground black pepper

Butter lettuce for serving

How to prepare

Cook the potatoes in boiling water and salt until they are completely soft, then drain them and leave them to cool
Meanwhile, we prepare the sauce, mix the mayonnaise with the onions in a deep bowl
We add mustard and lemon juice in addition to the pickles
Stir well until all ingredients are combined and smooth
Now add the potato pieces to the sauce, after cutting them into small cubes
Add the eggs and garlic, then season with salt and pepper, stirring well until all the potatoes are covered with the sauce
Put it in the fridge until it’s time to serve
Put the lettuce on a serving plate, then add the potato salad

German Potato Salad


Half a pound of medium-sized potatoes

slices of bacon

chopped red onion

¼ cup of apple cider vinegar

Four tablespoons of water

tablespoon olive oil 

tablespoon mustard

a teaspoon of sugar

the salt

ground black pepper

Sliced green onions

How to prepare

Put the potatoes in boiling water with salt and leave them until they are completely cooked and become soft
After it is half cooked, remove it from the water and set it aside to cool
Meanwhile, cook the bacon slices, heat the oil in a wide pan, and put the bacon slices in it, stirring occasionally, until crispy.
Remove the slices from the pan and set them aside on absorbent paper
In the same pan as before, put the red onion and leave it until it becomes soft, then add the apple cider vinegar, water, mustard, and sugar
Leave the mixture to boil over medium heat, then season with pepper and salt
Pour the mixture over the potatoes while they are hot
Stir well until all the potatoes are covered with the sauce, then serve
